GIVING WoMN is a member-driven, pooled fund, grant-making organization. Our primary goals are to educate women about philanthropy, and through collective giving, make impact grants in our community to address pressing, unmet needs.  GIVING WoMN makes grants in the areas of education, health and human services.

Nurture and Empower Women in Philanthropy

History

Join Us!

Our organization was founded as Women of Courage in February of 2005.  A small group of women envisioned the potential power of women in philanthropy and pooled giving, and how it could make a difference in the greater metropolitan area of Minneapolis/Saint Paul, MN.  That small group of women has grown to over 100 members.  Collectively, to date, we have donated over $300,000, and touched the lives of countless people in our community.    Since our inception, Courage Center has served as the fiscal agent for our organization.  In April of 2009, membership voted to change the organization’s name to GIVING WoMN.

Mission Statement

The purpose of GIVING WoMN is to nurture women’s leadership in philanthropy by engaging and educating our members, increasing charitable contributions and strengthening our community through the impact of collective giving.

GIVING WoMN is committed to making our mission a reality in the lives of our members and the community.  We are continually growing in membership, programming and the impact that we make in the community.

We welcome women to join us - whether experienced in philanthropy or just beginning the journey!
