Members and guests are welcome to attend a small group gathering on 4/14/2019
On Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 2pm Josie Tober and Roseanne Cheng are hosting a small group gathering at Josie’s home in Edina. The executive director of Emma Norton Services will be discussing their organization and their use of our February 2018 grant to them. An emailed invitation was sent to members with information.
About our grant To Emma Norton Services:
The mission of Emma Norton Services is to provide transformational housing for homeless women and families on the journey of recovery. Most of the women served are also challenged with mental illness. GIVING WoMN Funding helped grow a new service model which continues support as women and families move to permanent housing after being at ENS. In addition to extending stabilization services, this new model also provides beds sooner for additional homeless women. County/State funding which can applied for after service delivery will help sustain the program going forward.
Small group gatherings are events held in private homes throughout the year that spotlight one of our prior grant recipients in a casual, friendly gathering with food and refreshments. These gatherings serve as a great way to get to know fellow members and introduce friends and neighbors so they get a feel for what GIVING WoMN is all about. It is also a great opportunity to meet one of our grant recipients and learn what they were able to accomplish as a result of our grant.
